I have seen a few say 25% as an answer to this. But looks
like their math isn’t good and is extremeley complex to
have an asnwer of 25% to this question. Consider – Rs.1.00/-
per mango; so 40 mangoes = Rs.40.00/-, implies Rs.4.00/-
extra at the end of the deal. So he’s left with Rs.44.00/-
after selling 40 mangoes implies a profit of Rs.4.00/- over
Rs.40.00 = 44/40 = 110% which means his profit is 10%.
Hope this helps…
Thanks.
The rational number that does not have a reciprocal 0 because reciprocal of 0 is undefined.
Answer is 274 .
Let the required term be x.
Pattern :- 1) Find the difference between consecutive terms as :
2 – 1 = 1
4 – 2 = 2
13 – 4 = 9
31 – 13 = 18
112 – 31 = 81
2) Now write the above numbers obtained by differences in series as :
1, 2, 9, 18, 81, y
(Suppose y be next term after 81.)
3) Look the difference series carefully and it follows the below pattern as :
(9 * 2)/1 = 18
(18 * 9)/2 = 81
(81 * 18)/9 = 162 = y (the next term after 81)
Thus the required answer is :
x = 112 + y
x = 112 +162 =274
1 ball – 4 runs (1st batter – 94+4=98)
2 ball – 3 runs and one run is short run during running between the wicket (1st batter- 98+3-1 =100)and strike changes for 2nd batter
3 ball – 6 runs ( 2nd batter 94+6=100)

Since the speed diff is 5km/h
It takes 12 hrs to cover 60 extra kms
Therefore in 12 hrs the total dist covered is
Relative speed×time=(21+16)×12=444 kms

Suppose that x glassses are supplied safely , therefore
(100-x) glases are damage. Then equation is :
3x – 3(100-x) = 270
on solving this equation value of x comes out to be 95.

After the mixing, 1lt of the mixture has 0.8lt of milk and 0.2lt of water. 1lt of milk costs Rs.12 so 0.8lt of milk costs 0.8 x 12 = 9.6
He sells the mixture at Rs.15,
so profit%=(15-9.6)/9.6 x 100 = 56.25%
