Time taken by train = 10 sec.

∵ Speed = Distance/Time

⇒ Speed of train = 200/10 = 20 m/sec.

∴ Speed of train = 20 × 18/5 = 72 kmph.

Recent Answer : Added by Admin On 2020-05-17 12:04:01:

Total game played= 60
%won =30%
Total won= 60*30/100 i.e. 18
now team plays x games and win all of those to increase the
average to 50%.
So,
(60+x)*50/100=18+x
(60+x)/2=18+x
60+x=36+2x
24=x
So the final answer is 24.

i.e SI= 27000/100
SI= 270

Ques:- A person with some money spends1/3 for cloths, 1/5 of the remaining for food and 1/4 of the remaining for travel. He is left with Rs 100/- . How much did he have with him in the beginning ?
Recent Answer : Added by Admin On 2022-09-29 18:09:06:

let the amount of money be x

cloths 1/3 X x=rs.x/3

balance = x- x/3 = 2x/3

food = 1/5 X 2x/3 = 2x/15

balance = 2x/3 – 2x/15= 8x/15

travel = 1/4 X 8x/15 = 2x/15

now he has 100 rupees

2x/5 = 100
2x= 500
x = 500/2
x = 250

Ques:- When x is real what is the least value of (x**2-6*x+5)/(x**2+2*x+1)
Recent Answer : Added by Admin On 2020-05-17 12:01:23:

(x**2 – 6* x + 5) = (x-1)*(x-5)
(x**2 + 2 * x + 1) = (x + 1) * (x+1) = (x+1)**2
For what x is (x-1)*(x-5)/( (x+1)**2) a minimum?
One way to answer this question is by using calculus.
Take the derivative, and set to zero.
Since this is a fraction of polynomials, and a fraction is
zero only if it’s numerator is zero, we need calculate only
the numerator of the derivative and set it to zero.
The numerator of the
Derivative of (x-1)*(x-5)/( (x+1)**2) is
( (x-1) + (x-5) ) ( x+1)**2 – (x-1)(x-5)( 2 (x+1) )
= (2 x – 6) (x+1)**2 – (2) (x-1)(x-5) (x+1)
= 0
Divide through by 2 (x+1)
(x-3)(x+1) – (x-1)(x-5) = 0
(x**2 – 2 x – 3 ) – (x**2 – 6 x + 5) = 0
x**2 – x**2 – 2 x + 6 x – 3 – 5 = 0
4 x – 8 = 0
x = 2
Plugging in x = 2 into the original
(x**2-6*x+5)/(x**2+2*x+1)
gives us (2**2 – 6 * 2 + 5)/(2**2 + 2*2 + 1)
= (4 – 12 + 5) / (4 + 4 + 1) = -3/9 = -1/3
Least value is -1/3

Ques:- The average age of 12 students is 20 years. If the age of one more student is included, the average decreases by 1. What is the age of the new student?
A. 5 years
B. 6 years
C. 7 years
D. 9 years
Recent Answer : Added by DK On 2022-03-09 16:28:54:

Correct option is C)
Let be students are consider as child
Let the age of child added later be x years.
average age of 12 children =20 years
∴ Total age of 12 children =20×12=240 years
After one more child is added-
Average of 13 children =20−1=19 years
Average age of 13 children =
13
sum of 12 children+x

19=
13
240+x

⇒240+x=247
⇒x=247−240=7 years
Hence the age of child added later is 7 years.
