Assuming the youngest has X years, so we have
X+(X+3)+(X+6)+(X+9)+(X+12)=50
5X+30=50
5X=20
X=4

Speed of man downstream= 30/3=10km/h
Speed of man in upstream=18/3=6km/h
Speed of man in still water=1/2 (speed of upstream+ speed of down stream)
