(i.e. if the label says oranges, you are sure that it doesn’t have oranges only,it could be a mixture) The task is to pick one basket and pick only one fruit from it and then correctly label all the three baskets.

Take one fruit from box with label mixture. If we see
orange, because the basket lies (it cant have a mixture),
then it has only oranges. The other 2 are labeled apples and
oranges. The one labeled apples,
cannot have oranges inside, cos they are allready been
identified, and because it lies, it cannot have apples either.
So it has a mixture. And we are left with the one labeled
oranges that lies and has apples.

Ques:- . In june a baseball team that played 60 games had won 30% of its game played. After a phenomenal winning streak this team raised its average to 50% .How many games must the team have won in a row to attain this average?
Recent Answer : Added by Admin On 2020-05-17 12:04:01:

Total game played= 60
%won =30%
Total won= 60*30/100 i.e. 18
now team plays x games and win all of those to increase the
average to 50%.
So,
(60+x)*50/100=18+x
(60+x)/2=18+x
60+x=36+2x
24=x
So the final answer is 24.

Ques:- “A soldier loses his way in a thick jungle. At random he walks from his camp but mathematically in an interesting fashion. First he walks one mile East then half mile to North. Then 1/4 mile to West, then 1/8 mile to South and so on making a loop.. Finally how far he is from his camp and in which direction. ..”
Recent Answer : Added by Harsh Shah On 2021-07-22 15:55:58:

Soldier have to move 0.75 miles to West and then 0.375 miles to South to reach the camp.
How:-
Firstly soldier moving 1 mile to East from camp and then 1/2 miles= 0.50 miles to North .

Then it is moving 1/4 miles =0.25 miles to west
And then 1/8 miles =0.125 miles to South

Now we just have to count the difference and minus the value of camp to East with the value of North to west = 1mile – 0.25miles(1/4) = 0.75 miles

Same case with north and south = 0.50 miles(1/2) – 0.125 miles(1/8) = 0.375 miles

Hence proves to return camp the soldier have to move 0.75 miles to west and 0.375 miles to south
